I dun relly hv career objective cz just spam anythg im eligible for. The ones im really interested nv call me.
How to summarize at the end? Mean sense the interview is ending n quickly give a summary before thanking?
fellow quit-w/o a job personnel here too,

i think can try to link why u quit to your career objectives. at least thats my strategy (truth is i cant stand my previous work). can tell your interviewer that ur aim is to enter this industry as a (____ position) and view that there is no point staying in something that you dont believe in.

it worked for me.

i believe you would have areas u are inclined to. work towards that cos by sending resumes to other jobs that u are eligible but not interested most likely it will be revealed at the interview.

stay positive and good luck!

Hi excalibur thx for the encouragement. .
How long was ur gap?
Yep I linked it to career objective in a job I wasnt very keen on and it kinda backfired on myself.
Nd a job im keen on to act better.
I realised need to be v positive during interviews. I hv been quite apprehensive as there seems many landmines to activate in certain qnses.

im left at the start of june, went travelling before coming back to send resume around the end of world cup period.

went for 3 interviews so far, 1 reject, 1 pending, 1 called me say drafting contract.

be positive during interviews, can drop subtle phrases or words to show your understanding of the industry/jobscope. lastly ask smart questions towards the end (google can find alr).

all the best.

Somehow, if I'm going for an interview for a job I'm not really interested in, I find it hard to convince the interviewers and most likely end up failing the interview. I know I need a job pretty hard but still hard for me to act like I'm interested in a job when I'm not.

I gt another interview tml n im v nt hopeful. I kip imaging the different interviewers grilling me on why I left without a job.
Everytime I preparing for interview those past experience of skepticism shows up n I feel not motivated to prepare further.
Sh***y company cos made u waste 3 whole hours for just an interview. By allowing u to spend 3 hrs, it's like misleading u into thinking that they want u but in the end no news.

yeah i know how u feel, but still need to try to act interested, at least get a job while u search for something else u are interested in. Just think of it as a stepping stone to get to ur next job, and getting some income while job hunting.

I was jobless for 6 months aft i grad, and only had 2 interviews during that 6 month period... both jobs i dont really want, 1st job interview (in 2 months) i also found it hard to act interested and didnt get the job.. then 4 months no news and finally 2nd job interview..this time pretended to be interested and got itand now I finally found my dream job and finally gonna quit my current job. U get experience as well as some savings at least. So dont give up and keep trying! stay positive!

yep, also always make it a point the ongoing major projects the company/organisation is involved in at the moment. they might ask you about it, or you can even bring it up in the interview.

yes there is a great difference in industry & job scope, my current job is in the electronics industry which i have worked for 6 months, will be 7 months when I tender, the job i wanted and got now is in pharmaceutical research, which i will be starting immediately after i tender. My current job is nothing more than a mean to get paid while i hunt for another job.

I like the mean to get paid while I hunt for another job.

I am in a similar predicament. A bit different. I have been with my company for years. In the last year or so, this boss that I am reporting to seems to have some issues with me or maybe I have stepped on his toes unknowingly. We use to work quite well as a team. He tries to ostracize me and ignore my emails. Good thing I have built up quite a reputation in my company that he needs to think twice to get rid of me. Hence, he is employing th tactics of cold storage and tries to make me frustrated so that I will leave on my own accord. I am talking to a few other companies but somehow, I want to stay on and slug it out. Any advice?
