This is harsh but is a wise advice and what most strawberry generation don't want to stomach that cos they are hella pampered lots.

Thinking long term, it is actually a good closure.

There are jobless ppl who cry and whine they can't find job and need money.

I wonder how anyone would want to sympathise these kind of ppl.

The Gov has created so many gig jobs like covid swabber, safe distancing officer, tray ambassadors, safe distancing entry officer, etc....

All these jobs are used to absorb the ppl who are jobless during these difficult times. It really begs the question. What are you doing these past 2 years?

If you are some highly-paid executive waiting and holding out for another high-paying job, now is the time. This wave of great resignation has left many companies with vacancies. It is now or never. If you can't find a job during the next 3 months, you may really need to rethink your career path. Singapore is not really kind to people in their late 40s and 50s. I talked to many executives who have to swallow their pride and become grab drivers.

If you are some fresh grad, there are many temp jobs right now to tide you over.

It really comes down to your need, expectations, and survival.

Give some benefit of doubt because some may be in a depressing situation.

If a person is starting out in a career with no other income sources, it is better to face the harsh world (bad bosses, colleagues, challenging work etc) to gain life experiences. This should make up the first 10 to 15 years of your life.

Glad im not one of those sneakerheads or hypebeast chasers like many of my ns mates and uni mates. Some even went the extra mile to have tattoos and are smokers when they personally told me they are poor and barely have enough money in their banks. To top it off , they frequent order food and use grab services to travel around.

Good thing i did none of those. Only when necessary for ordering food or using grab services to travel.

What is the real reason ppl want to quit their jobs in this kind of pandemic ? I want to quit my current job. I can't stand the way my company is managed. I am the only support staff supporting many executives. The big boss often for no reason or maybe he is being egoistic, male chauvinist, made unfriendly remark at me. Even now I work in my current company for 2 years already, he will still out of nowhere make unfriendly remark at me and only me when there is a chance. Just like the new year company lunch, when we finished our Company lunch, me and a few other executives took a ride back office and the boss drove us back. Then suddenly he asked me in the car, did I book grab ? My first reaction is to ask him back, oh, how much is the fare. Was he trying to hint to me that I should book a grab to return office and not sit in his car ???? This is not a one time isolated incident. It was obviously he did it intentionally. I think I have had enough of him. Currently looking for a new job.
