And I assume you are interviewing for regular office work.

As it sometime depends on industry and job. A very boring and stern outfit for an interview in a creative fashion design company may kill your chance. Similarly a flashy indecent outfit for interview at a civil service organisation will see your resume in the trash bin.

Is it necessary to wear long sleeves for interviews?

This is an interview. Understand when you walk around CBD you will see many ladies in showy dresses, but well these are people who already passed the interviews.

And it is still better to have a plain colored cardigan or best, a blazer.
You won't know how long the interview will be, how cold the office will be. You won't want to end up shivering in your sleeveless dress during the interview.

look smart, and wear comfortably. sit, walk, stand in your outfit, and make sure you are comfortable. you won't want to be caught busy adjusting your outfit whenever you stand up to do a handshake, etc.

Do you have the experience of keep getting offer for contract roles but not permanent roles? I'm not sure am I not good enough?! It's so sad!

ya there isn’t many jobs out there that pays daily. so have to rework your expectations a little. it’s about finding that balance between what you can bear with and what is available in the market for your situation now. something is always better than nothing. rather than having months pass you by without a job, at least you can look forward to the payday instead. even if you have to spend the first month forking out money for all your expenses. even if it’s just a small amount, it’s your effort to stay employed and trust me, it pays off. I have been through that phase before, i’ve proudly acknowledged having done temp or contract work before (that pay peanuts, just enough for me to cover my monthly expenses eg. transport expenses to work, meal expenses because of the work location) during interviews and I can see that my interviewers appreciated my effort and they gave me a chance. i am sure that will ease the pressure from family/friends as well, especially those who constantly ask about your employment status.

as many before me have said, don’t give up. never give up. if you don’t do it for anyone, do it for yourself.

Initially I was also sad like you.
But after a while seeing how difficult it is to get a job in times like this, I am just glad I got an offer.

Not sure about your contract term, just take it while keep looking out lo. You are not prevented from resigning when better opportunity comes by. Just make sure to resign professionally.

I doubt it's about you, look around this forum and your social circle and I'm sure you would find many in similar situations. The job market is generally just bad. whatever offer you get, do cherish it!

I am fresh graduate. Jobless for 8 months in total. Kind of giving up hope in life.

but just precisely that boss know u cherish the job, even if he ask u to eat ****, u prob will do so..
