Private Banking Client Services Manager
Clients Services Manager, Assistant Banker, Sai kang warrior.
I've recently been requested to take up that role, but that 3rd name for the role just keeps coming up and I'm wondering whether it is true to the name.
Has anyone worked or is currently in that role to provide any insights?
What kind of qualifications and experience is usually expected(as the hirer has no idea of my CV)?
What kind of questions should I be checking with the hirer in terms of career progression or job scope?

"Client Services" is a support function isn't it?
I would say the job's like a higher class call centre / hotline operator?

Basically is a support role for the private bankers. Handle account opening, maybe booking of trades, trade confirmation, mark to market client portfolio and general admin. Like maybe book hotel for client etc.

well i'm a private banker and yeah the assistant is kinda the support he or she gives to the banker. Names for assistant includes assistant RM, Relationship Officer, Market assistants etc.
For a banker its crucial to get a good assistant so as not to cock up the deals and piss the clients off.
Pay range is probably 3.8k for no exp assistant to around 8k for lao jiao assistant.

probability of moving up to a private banker via a service role is about 0.1%, and you might need to wait 10 years and beyond.
You need everyone to love you, the private banker to love you and he wants to retire, and the team manager has no other people to pass the portfolio to, but since he also loves you. decides to throw you a bone and groom you. which is almost next to impossible.
You need luck, skills, discipline and loads of patience
