Contact schools directly. Ask if they have a vacancy for your specific role

I moved away from my last SG school so my preference would be nearer home in Punggol. I’m hoping with newer schools there the chance of me finding something would be higher. Any advice would be deeply appreciated! TIA!
Flexi adjunct very poor thing. No job security and stability.

Hi All,

I have applied for Jan/Feb 2021's application.

Would like to know if I'll be able to be considered as a mid career applicant and whether chances will be higher?

Accountancy field with 7 years of industrial experience (big 4, mid tier & commercial-private industry)
Local poly diploma & degree (Private) in accounting.

Private tutoring experience almost 10 years in accounting as well.

Have previously applied years back but was interviewed for Mother Tongue, was encouraged to try again and consider applying for Sec Sch teaching to teach Accounting (was without my private degree back then).

Thanks in advance!

Happy New Year & Happy Holidays to all! 😊

Now it's very very very hard to getting into teaching.. They have excess teachers. They take in the cream of the crop now. Out of 10 applicants, only 2 get in and still need to go through compulsory contract teaching to assess further suitability prior nie admission.

So after a few years, you’ll realise that only the BTs are enthusiastic about work while the majority (who are resigned to their fate) will just do the bare minimum so that they will not get anything less than ‘c’.

Yes end of the day if your students are cmi you can't do much also. Even Michael Schumacher cannot win the F1 driving a Proton.
