you have not being selected for the interview right? If no, then apply other job first

Think thats the status while they still shortlisting (i got receive rejection to position b4 after getting stuck at that point.. can take anytime from 4-12 weeks i guess

Applied to many jobs but unfortunately only heard back from a few and no rejections but also no job offers yet. Think the media industry is in a very bad state now after COVID, a lot of my friends also cannot find jobs/lost their jobs this year.

Has anyone heard of instances where a DXO failed or extended probation? Never really worried in my previous jobs but things seems to work quite differently here (such as the longer than normal probation period)

Also anyone heard if there is any chance they don’t offer after every paperwork is approved and cleared?

nope. I think even if you perform average, you should pass the probation. unless you really screwed it up badly like breaking the law or making big mistakes. even if your boss dont like you, he/she will need to provide details on why you dont pass, which will be scrutinized. also, hiring for DXOs takes so long that they rather give you chance to prove or improve yourself.

Interested to find out as well. I saw some postings sharing that they were not given an offer despite clearing G50 and getting all the paper work processed.

I currently have a job offer on hand is not too sure if i should take it on first while waiting for my G50 to be processed or...

Have you checked with your hiring manager? There are 2 different type of process.

1) Verbal offer> G50 & Medical > LOA Signing
2) G50 & Medical > Verbal Offer > LOA Signing.

It is very rare no offer will be given because if you went through option 2, the whole process already took up 2-4 months. The post need replacement to avoid too much backlog.
