I duno about that particular company you mentioned, but having worked at and with small startups, it is not worth it. 1st you dun get to learn a lot, even if your boss is the smartest person in the world, he is always away doing business. 2nd you most likely dun have anyone to ask. 3rd you have a lack of equipment then productively goes down. 4th small startups are usually extreme aggressive and agile be ready to put your 300%. 5th they may go bust next year. The list goes on and on....

Unlike startups in western countries where the founding employees get equity options, singapore usually just offer you minimum pay because you probably cant find a better job.

Like working in a startup? change your name to mine

I think there is a myth in this forum, people think that mega MNC give super high pay and super high bonus...

I worked in 3 MEGA MEGA MNC (100,000 employees ++) before... they are VERY CAUTIOUS about cost because economy is NOT doing well.. especially if you are in consumer electronic then VERY GOOD LUCK.. tell me apart from intel and apple which consumer electronic company is earning money? Philips? HP? or..Siemen? Samsung dun have a R&D here, you can join Samsung Construction and compete with all the super cost effective Japanese Main Comm.

HOW ON EARTH you expect company to pay you well if every years is a cost cutting year???

I know alot of GLC ppl here in this forum.. i think you guys get more than us..

but culture wise i think MNC better, more work life balance and more emphasis on SOBC. I never come across anybody rising their voice and banging table all these years..if you do that, you will get disciplinary action.

do you know that giant MNC is sooo structured that every morning when you reach office, you look at your senior beside you then you tell yourself 10 years later you will be like this..
i think young guy should take up more challenge..

Ehh read between the line..Phillips Q3 rises compare to 2011 Q3, 2011 is a deficit year!! are you really in MNC environment or not? do you know how many ppl leaving just from the consumer lifestyle alone last year because the pay increment was 1~3 percent for consecutive few years

waliao HP, its share price drop to 40% of what it was when Mark Hurd in helm..global pay cut 5% for normal exec, 10% for manager and 15% for VP and above in year 2008, 2009 increment freeze, 2010 reinstate the pay cut but also no increment..

the guy above, are you really in MNCs before? talk big only

Unfortunately, it does. If the share price drops, the shareholders are going to be super angry, in order to push shares up, management have to repay higher dividends...

Guess where they get those extra dividends from? hehehe
