Doesnt matter if we’re not in big 4 or left
Its just interesting to know if all partners are equity holders
Its about knowing what higher ups are getting in the auditing community plus maybe theres always this mystery about them , thats why people ask . I dont think they ask simple because they want to be a partner . Its more of curiosity

If u cant ans dont pass snark remarks and assume you know it all.

So if anyone here is able to answer:
Are the new upcoming partners mainly equity partners in big 4?
If no, which firm isit that no longer offers equity partnerS

To my knowledge, there is no such thing in Singapore context. Most likely someone read about salaried partners on Reddit or overseas forum and mistakenly thought it applies to Singapore as well.

Buy-in refers to the lump sum you have to pay the partnership when you join them. It’s not a “period” but a monetary sum. Some new partners do not have that kind of cash upfront, so they take a loan from other partners / take a private loan.

Most of their profit sharing from the first few years will go towards repaying this loan.
