That's quite under average considering the buzz words that you dropped like hedge fund, trading desk, commodities trading..

I was in an unglamorous GLC and was already making $70+k in my 4th year. By the 5th year I took an overseas posting and my all in salary jumped to US$250k.. but then again that was because it was a considered a hardship posting.

not bad. but not everyone is gonna be earning 250k usd a year. you probably have to be a little more realistic. thou i must say u did really well. i'm happy where i am considering that i just grad and was working full time and studying at the same time before this. No joke man its so tiring sometimes just to juggle both.

Is 75K to 80k pa the whole package?

Hi everyone,
Just wanted an opinion of how I am doing compared to my peers:

Grad from SIM-UOL in 2005. First job in aviation for ~5 years, 2nd job in logistics for 2 years, now in 3rd job in marine for 6+ years. Annual salary for FY2017-2018 ~$130k.

How are my fellow UOL grads doing?

Was having a talk with my Friend the other day who firmly believed that his UOL first was not equivalent to a local uni 2nd upper.

Is this true pay-wise? Was thinking that a mba would surely favour a uol First applicant?

Distance learning degrees will never be on the same footing as local degrees.

even in the local degree scene, NUS > NTU, so for UOL to be anywhere in the admission officer's hand for MBA schools, it gotta be far mate

I always thought that foreign MNCs HR would be more accepting of a good class private degree though (Esp a UOL first class, isn’t UOL one of the best private degrees?). And also thought that NUS/NTU/SMU were pretty similar.

You don't get it. It's a DISTANCE LEARNING degree. So the quality/acceptability of it is definitely lower.
