Being a VP at bank is one way. Dont have to talk about Facebook etc. VP at DBS/JPM/Goldman is equivalent to Senior Software Engineer/Manager(for managerial role). The compensation is around 180k+. Grab and Gojek also pays around that for lead position. I have seen many average senior engineers there as VP.

D local bank, tech function, VP level with 15 years experience is benchmarked against market at 200k annual package (all in). AVP level with 10 years experience is benchmarked at 150k total. newly promoted SVP start at around 240k.
Don't get fooled by trolls in this forum. these are real numbers from HR system of D bank.

I have been reading all these comments, I didn't know local businesses like Shopee pays so much - seen so many comments saying fresh grad TC is over 100k, and I thought only FAANG can reach that level.
Heck, I was really happy that I had a 5.5k base at PYPL. Guess I am way behind, time to jump the boat.
