Being a VP at bank is one way. Dont have to talk about Facebook etc. VP at DBS/JPM/Goldman is equivalent to Senior Software Engineer/Manager(for managerial role). The compensation is around 180k+. Grab and Gojek also pays around that for lead position. I have seen many average senior engineers there as VP.
