Exxonmobil
Hi, Anybody can tell me more about their operation in Jurong Island at Pulau Chawan? How's the work environment like? What sort of career progression opportunity in the company? What sort of salary and benefit for a 2 years experienced engineer? Do they provide trainning to new comers? Any info about these or if you anything to add at all, please do so. Thank you.

It sucks as you are in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing to do. Furthermore, if you have a car, the finish is corroded by the stuff in the air. Imagine what it will do to your lungs. I think it should come with hardship allowance.

From the main gate of Jurong Island to the office building is 10km, so if u drive just back/forth the gate/office u already drive 20km. Considering width of Sg is about 50km , thats a lot to me....n if u stay in Pasir Ris....good luck!!!
But its a nice company, people are treated with a great deal of respect and dignity. Me not engineer but usually u r rotated to another position every 2-3 years for career/skills development? Tons of training on technical and soft skills....but the environment is also very competitive with everyone force-ranked according to perceived performance...
Last i heard starting pay for fresh grads is 3700, then after 2 years should hit about 4500 at least i think?

Degree graduates I assume. The pay raise is >10% per annum. Pretty good. What company is this?

What is it that made you dislike the Harbourfront office? Its a very modern office, looks really nice to work there.
