How far/fast can you really go with the mid-career switches into IT/Fintech or whatever the gov is pushing people to go into?

What are your chances of success in these areas compared to people with full relevant degrees?

Depends what is your previous experience and what role you are looking for. If your looking for Business Development/product/strategy and you have prior experience, it is possible. If you are looking to switch to engineering role without experience, it will be quite hard.

I'm coming from a "traditional" engineering background, not IT focused, but have some involvement. I'm actually looking to go into the product/strategy route, any advice on how I can speed that up?
