agreed. big 4 are for those who can't get into consulting, banks or any MA programmes.

i know people who got 2nd lower and get in easily.

i'd expect more intern roles to be open and less grad roles.

interns are, ultimately, cheap labor.

Both. The grads quite poor thing. Heard they had rejected other big 4s for one of the big 4s. And now their offer got rescinded. What a slap to their faces. I doubt they will ever trust that company again

wow that must suck so bad.... and after rejecting the other big 4s unlikely they can ever get an offer in the next 1-2 years

Good la. Fresh grad starting pay so high now lol. It's good for them to learn that life is not given to you. The sooner they learn the better. Otherwise every year fresh grad expecting higher and higher salary.

They need to know they are disposable.

you need to know that the big 4 grads who had their offers rescinded had starting salaries of $3000-$3050.

meanwhile there are banks paying for IB, while consulting and tech firms pay $7-8k who did not get their offers rescinded. these are all fresh grads from my cohort.

talk about job security. accounting is no longer secure.
