hearsay big 4 audit firms rescinded some offers for incoming graduate associates last week. is this true?

Fake news. I’m in TAS but can speak for other sectors and arms. No full-time employment offer has been rescinded. Only mid-year internships are cancelled.

Sick news if true. Big 4s hire armies of disposal cheap labour every year, with buffer for expected attrition already built in. If they can't even be confident of sustaining these numbers, that means the anticipated downturn is really bad.

Some companies may struggle to pay for audit fees, partners want to earn the same amount, make do with lesser manpower lor....suck it

rescinding of offers is a strict no no
hope their reputation gets hammered and the better graduates don't join them in future
spread this around
