low for mx10 but i guess you are quite a high flyer to be promoted to mx10 at this range

merit increment is always applied first before promo increment.

if you are near mx11a ceiling then your merit increment only will be max to the mx11a increment. after that then the promo increment is applied.

unfortunately, merit increment is always applied before new grade hence the calculation is done this way
