I am getting promoted in Jan 2020 and just recd my salary adj and perf bonus letter

Hey guys, new guy here.
I am M 30 yo, with part-time degree from SIM GE.
I am currently working as an exec in one of the public uni in sg
(*cough* the one that keeps appearing in the news recently *cough*)

so as title says, im going to be promoted to senior executive next year january.

i did a comparison between my annual salary increment from 2018-19 and 2019-20.
my annual increment from 2018-2019 was 5.67% i had a small additional bump with mobile phone allowance
my annual increment from 2019-2020 is 6.50% after my promotion to SE. (this 0.83% difference feels very underwhelming for myself even after taking into consideration of the bad economic environment for this 2 years)

so here comes the question, in Feb 2020 it will be my 3rd year with my Uni. should i start looking for better opportunities outisde?
my fellow friends who work in public unis how is ur increment n bonus in 2019/20?

First of all Congratulations.
In this current climate a 6.5% is very very good. Not getting retrenched a alr a blessing alr.
Mind sharing ur pay? Unless your base pay is very low, then a 6.5% is a bit sad.

Thanks, for the annual increment i included monthly salary increment + bonus, so i was basically comparing annual salary of 2019 to 2018 n 2020 to 2019.
i jus hit 4k monthly with my Jan 2020 increment, wat about urself? mind sharing how was ur 2019/20 "report card"?

i'm 30yo, turning 31 next yr.

although I'm earning 4k+ and increment is < 5% (up $200), company doesn't pay aws (13th month) and my performance is not very good for the past year, just joined in 1Q 2019.

likely my bonus, if any, is only 0.5 month. I think your job stability is better and with bonus, should be better than mine.

btw are you single?

Am 30yo male working in a ministry making approx $6850 per month. I am not a scholar and got overseas degree. My advice is to job hop and ask for a minimum 20% increment per jump. Am on my 4th job, total 5 years+ exp. If I were to stay on my 1st job, probably conservatively would be making about 4k+ only.

Assuming before promoting to senior executive, you are holding on to the designation of MAO. You never hit your ceiling with your current pay?

How many months perf bonus you getting in jan? I was with them few years back but left.

i same as u turning 31 next year, where i work oso dun pay AWS, but we do get better bonus, im married.

I am an exec, this year perf bonus quite bad, less than 2.4mth for meet requirement i think.
