Default NTU & NUS bonus

Anyone working there? Do you all know if they pay 13th month and any bonus? Bonus do they pay out 2x per year like those in civil services?

Nus Ntu are considered stat boards so they follow civil service quite closely. should have similar bonuses. As to whether PhD students are entitled to these bonuses I’m not very sure.

hmm not really bother about PhD students. Just to check, are your guessing or this is something you know?

Default To the above

That’s rubbish. NUS and NTU are not stat boards. They do not follow civil service pay structure.

Prior to 2015, ntu and nus are indeed stat board, but now they are a not for profit company limited by guarantee.

They will pay top dollar for the best faculty.

It depends on how your salary is packaged.

NTU may package the 13th month into your annual package. They may not offer any bonuses after that. For the average faculty, bonus is about 1 to 1.5 months.

Same for NUS. For foreign faculty they may offer a fix annual package. No further bonus.

for SMU

Depending on your contract.

General Staff:
12mths basic + 13th mth + 1.5 - 2.5mths PB/completion bonus + ~700 flexi benefits + 21 Days of leave

Faculty Staff:
12mths basic + 13th mth + 1.5 - 3 mths PB + ~700 flexi benefits + 0 Days of leave + some relocation & housing allowances - at least my ex boss was like this

wow smu seems to be very good. From what I gather and reply from the others NUS n NTU doesn't work this way.

what i mentioned just now was for Manager as above, not sure about Exec to AM though

To add on:
base on job level
Exec to AM - 14 days leave
Mgr & above 21 days

For Medical
Exec to AM - B1 ward
Mgr - AD - A Ward
DD & above - Private

$5 co-payment for visit to GPs

it ultimately depends on your annual comp

but once ur basic exceeds $6k, higher variable bonus or the mere existence of 13mth means you get to receive higher Employer CPF Contributions
