hey bro, sorry was not clear on my end. i dont work at OCBC but i happen to be browsing diff threads and realize there is a lot of hate on traineeship/trainees, as seen from the previous replies as well.

so i just wanted to share something positive that happened to me because of traineeship. hope you can understand

What's your educational background (course and degree classification), and which industry did you do your traineeship in? If you can get 5k you must have been decent to a certain level.

Because in traineeships:

1. Not all get to convert
2. It is just a half-year placement at most, trainees still have to find a permanent placement
3. Trainees are underpaid labour even with government support
4. Trainees gain a period of experience which might make them ineligible for placements needing less than a certain number of years
5. Companies are abusing this scheme to get 'free' work/more work done for less money
6. Are just a scheme to pad employment numbers so the ruling party looks good

Kudos to you! With regards to your earlier comment (assuming you are the same person), this forum has many individuals who can't stand to see others doing better than them which has led to this unfortunate dick measuring contest behind their screen.
