Ermm nope. I’m in the most recent batch of hires, me and my schoolmates from SIM-UOL are starting out on the lower scale.

The pay differential is not much anyway so it’s not gonna impact your progression.

Not only pay. Private grads promotion also slower.

Strange. Know of a SIM-UOL from the program a few years ago (currently a VP) who was drawing the same as his 2nd upper local uni counterparts

A FCH starting salary bump will only be afforded to local universities. Aside from the minor pay differential, these associates are on the same pay grade regardless on whether their degree is private or not.

Speed of promotion is highly dependent on a variety of factors like dept headcount and performance but your degree is not a factor unless ones does a postgrad of course.

its not the degree but the education and skill. so the SIM UOL grad is not discriminated. he is just poor performer hence promote slower than the rest

The hearsay that private uni grads are discriminated against when it comes to promotion is untrue.

If you heard of those “My friend has a colleague from SIM...” , slow promotion yada-yada.
He or she is an underperformer. Nothing to do with the degree.

Why are you so obsessed about private uni students at 3-4am in the morning?

Did they like steal your jobs or smth? If not why you got so much hatred towards them and so much free time to rant here lol
