you can also use the services of a recruiter to help you find. most banks do work with their preferred recruitment agency for certain kind of positions.
may i know which of the two you mentioned is better prospective?

and how so? if you do not mind explaining.

cheers!

Frankly speaking, here's how it goes in life.

Reputable Uni > Class of Honors > Degree type

Harvard Grad (Average Honors) > NUS (First Class) > Banking & Finance > Arts

Of which, I will say that the degree type doesn't matter so much. Between the two that you're looking at, it definitely doesn't matter all that much. Just strive to do as well as you can.

no necessarily true. many back-office jobs have been/will be shifted to lower cost countries in the region.

The offshoring trend is actually reversing in some countries. Not sure about Singapore.

there's a limit to how things can be outsourced offshore. for time-sensitive operations, or adhering to local regulatory requirements, like approving local applications, you still need local personnel to be responsible. if your job do get outsourced, time to move on to better ones.

this one is personal.
you like long hours, better pay, and do accounting/tax? you will find your prospects there.
or you like to go home on time, spend time with family, no need high stress and high pay job, and take on more responsibilities? operations could be your thing, excel in it, and you find yourself progressing within.
find the jobs that match your skills, interests and attitude. progress will come to you.
do not find job for the money or progress, you will feel miserable.

thank you for the piece of advise.
i believe that ''outplay'' comes after ''outwork''.

also, recently i found out that the dropout rate for first year uol students is plus minus 50%?
does anyone has any comment on that?

cheers!

Look man, I don't know you.

You sound like you want to make something for yourself. That's all good.. but like with every wannabe high-flier, maybe you can start by improving your english.

You don't write well, your sentence structure is bad, and you don't seem to know your tenses etc.

Make an effort, and it will pay off. Especially if you want to be in management.

holy, that was harsh. really.

cases like this, usually i'd refute.

but since you've alr expressed how repulsive my language is, i'll accept defeat.

but hey, it's constructive right!?

alright time to dive into ''dem'' books yo will then get back to you in a couple months' time to further seek for your evaluation!

have a great weekend gais.

cheers!
