You will only get a C if your work does not leave an impression despite how challenging it is. Its the same everywhere(public or private), just that govtech takes it to an extreme.

+1 to this. Working hard (e.g. OTing) to deliver quality product would only get C, while people who volunteer for other stuff not related their main project and let their teammate tank more work for their main project end up getting B because of visibility from doing wider variety of work.

In services I know we all are allocated one or more core project. Mini one like block chain la. Gen ai are not core and agencies aren't paying u big bucks for this

Good to have side but can't lose sense of your core responsibilities
