Cause my division seems to have alot of people "promoted" from project engineer to engineer.
But when we asked privately it seems like some still E5, but some is E6 so we wonder why the boss refused to give the "senior" title.

Then there is also software colleague in my division, one year already promoted from software engineer to senior engineer...

Is there no law and order. What's the use of HR if the boss can manipulate and do anything they like?
How can some people 1 year become senior engineer while anothrr 10 years colleague is also senior engineer.

Likewise 5 years colleague still just a engineer but a 2 years experience from outside is considered senior engineer here.

HR no standard

This is not a promotion. In ST, a promotion is obvious, with a description in front, like Senior Engineer, Asst Principal Engineer, Principal Engineer.

From Project Engineer to Engineer is just a consolidation of titles. It happened to me last time. The job description is removed from your job title so everyone is just an engineer.

Last time my M1 assistant principal engineer claims that he is paid lower than the longest serving E6 senior engineer.

The M1 claimed that he has no power etc and Lower paid than E6.
So the senior engineer who been denied promotions. He been here like 12 years...
Showed us his salary slip.

The M1 didn't... And the M1 been promoted to M2 last year.
Guess now his story is that his M2 pay is lower than E6.

Basically, now new hires are all known as Engineers, aka bao ka liao.

I've seen ppl doing work like carrying tables, server racks like bangla workers lol.

Yeah. Even admin ask the engineer to help carry fruits every month.
Why waste manpower on all this nonsense. Just give extra fruit money 50.dollars to every ones bank a count better.

Fruit delivery cause so much problem.
From collection to distribution. Even to throwing the rubbish the cleaning auntie complains that the rubbish overflow cause everyone throw their coconut in the bin after 5 pm. And she has to clean it first thing in the morning next day...

Management do all this kind of welfare for show but never understand that it cause more work for everyone.

Even those who receive must rush to collect from admin during meeting cause admin is like "come collect now." end up alot of engineers on site "just forget about it la" let thr fruit rot in the office.

That reminds me, the admins of the senior management hold the most powers outside of the management realm. They are the ones who always make engineers do all the work for them.

Assistant Engineer is below E4. Executive is just a nicer name for admin.

Hahahhahah, this is so true, ST has no money to hire professionals to do the jobs but instead of treating the male executive as Bangla. Better close shop and stop scamming the taxpayer money.

I tell you all hor to avoid the Cyber Product side the management don't care their staff one. They die die must achieve KPI and they don't care if the customer demand is siao siao one loh. Anyhow one...

They will throw their engineer pm and anyone into the project just to cover the project than LD the project. When the staff already burnt until gaogao liao. Then when the project go on fire they blame the engineer la pm la but the product mgmt is the one who are the one who start the fires one lo when they anyhow agree with cust everything

Engineer, pm, admin there are not people in their eyes, all just numbers only. Sibei cui.

Mgmt no skills, only talk only. No action talk only and talk big and promise big. Engineer, pm and other staff pay the price sia...
