I suppose if you have the necessary exp, you wont be selecting this. if you dont have exp and looking to break into the industry, then this might be an option.

Take CSDP as a step to enter the Cyber industry for fresh grad or if you are thinking of career change. My ex. colleague who graduated from CSDP found a cyber job that pays much more. It wouldn't have been possible within even given a chance to step into cyber thru the programme.

But if you can find a better job outside, by all means skip CSDP. There will always be others who want the chance more than you.

Yeah, from the looks of it, CSA had never meant to keep all of these csdp folks anyway.

Alot of ppl came in to Cyber thinking that it is pure technical work. That's why they left disappointed.

ppl who happily join soc as soc analyst thinking they are doing cyber technical work but are no more than helpdesk.

for cyber, join pte if possible

if rlly want cyber in govt, join govtech csg. much better exp, pay, and life. bt also much harder to get in

CSA deals w nation threat actors. Not many agencies do that. Its an interesting scope not found elsewhere.
