I think talk cock one.
Big IB multi asset class trader rev only 3mm? Entire desk 3mm or your own personal target?
I small IB exotic fx trader rev already more than that. When u tell me multi asset class I immediately can think of what desk you in, and big IB cfm not 3mm I assure you.
Salary wise is around there. My side can still go up to 12-20 mths bonus. P/L related. Quarterly bonus.

-I'm a MBA student at university of southern california. Not the ultra elite, but it's good enough to get a few interviews from MS, CS, GS, BAML, JPM, Barcap, BCG and Bain. Received internship offer from one of the banks and BCG both for jakarta office (grew up in jakarta, dad was an expat).
-Also received an offer as a PE intern.
-No finance background (civil engineering background).
-Picked a bank in NY for my internship.
Key points:
-U don't have to have HSW MBA. Totally doable from US top 25 MBA.
-Utilize your family and relatives. Network a lot.
-CFA is useless. Spend your time networking instead.

There are more and more local grads in BB FO positions.
And no, they aren't always your stellar cream of the crop people. The minimum expectation is 2:1, which is what the bulk of local grads have.
You do NOT need to go overseas to get an ivy league/oxbridge degree to enter the industry. The ratio isn't 1:7 -- Maybe 1:4 for IBD. For S&T and AM, the odds are much better.

I reached 7.7k in 6 years after 2 hops. I am outliner I believe. The high paying BO jobs are never advertised. They will come and look for you if you are famous for doing a good job.

You can always try the Poly trainee programs of the three local banks or the japanese banks. Unless you have people with connections to bring you in to those bigger foreign banks
