I forgot to mention there was a 10% increment in 2012 and I got promoted as well in 2013. The stat board I work in has more sub grades between mx12 to mx11. Am not managing anyone but same grade as mgrs.

Your SB rings a bell; does it's acronym have two "A" in it? Nonetheless, it's a surprise that your SB actually follows the Civil Service increment in 2012. My previous SB gave us the usual HR talk and says that they will include that component in for our annual MI, but of course did not materialize.

I think you're doing quite well, bearing in mind that your starting salary was below 3k and that you took a paycut cum "demotion" in grade. Though you may start to see your younger peers taking a shorter time to hit your salary simply because their starting pay is higher.

Thanks, no my stat board has no A in its name. Just feeling a little jaded and thinking if it's time to move on. But I'm 33 this yr already and feeling quite comfortable being on the hi potential list for the sb. To move means gotto start all over.

Is Constituency Manager considered civil servant? Are they entitled to the mid year and end of year bonus that other civil servants are getting?

People's association considered public service, so will have its own schemes. Most likely will get same mid yr end yr bonuses, but not sure if payout at same time as ministries. My stat board only gives 13 month in dec, the rest of the additional bonuses are all accumulated till May of each yr.

Hi all,

I will be having a second and final interview with a director from a ministry tomorrow. Is it safe to say that I have more or less secured the job since it is already the final one. Thanks

Not necessary, they may shortlist a few for final interview and choose. Just do your best! Positive attitude is no.1 thing they look for. All the best!

Actually it depends, some ministries might have already selected you; and for you to meet the director is for formality sake. Like my ministry, the first round was done by the AD himself and the final one is by the director. But at that time, we have already decided who we want and the second session is just a chit chat /informal one.

They are gross salary, meaning include employee cpf. Take home pay must deduct off cpf contribution. But the figures don't include employer's cpf contributions
