Hi guys,

Just to ask if you would accept an offer for AM from a stat board or wait to go through interview for a SM in a ministry?

Will there be a case if I reject the AM position, I might not get an offer for the SM position later?

What would you do if you were me?

Default Reasonable salary?

Male, approaching 30 soon. Gross salary about 5.8K. Typically will get a 16 months package in a year. What do you guys think? Doing fine? Hoping to earn more. GG to apply for another job asking for close to 7K gross monthly. Hoping for good news.

Are you a fresh grad? If so the title in the ministry might be inflated. More importantly is to look at the job scope n pay when comes to making your choice.

bird in the hand is better than two in the bush...especially in this market. Also btw, 2 years exp wont set you up for SM...you might very well end up being offered an AM role in that ministry too

Agreed. Most ministries considers <3 relevant exp as fresh grads roles (ie Asst Mgr) that why i was quite surprised over the different in roles offered.

What stage are you at now? Verbal offer stage for SB and final interview at Ministry? If so you can try telling Ministry that you have an offer and would appreciate if they could get back to you.

I have a friend who told his 2nd interviewers about his having another offer, and they gave him a offer within the same say of the interview.

But if you still at initial interview or shortlisting stage, then go with AM is oso good!
