does this means that my salary ceiling is $4.2k? means if i am not promoted, once my salary hit $4.2k, i will forever earn $4.2k till i retire at age of 62?

i read that MHA is mass hiring Science & Technology people, both fresh grads and mid-career personnel, for its new Stat Board. Has anyone applied?

I am the earlier poster. I have tried several ministries. Don't listen to 2nd hand anecdotal information which may be subjective (people always inflate their salaries, even to family)
Just look at the graduate employment survey which is statistically sound.
Most ministries are under 4k even for FCH + NS. Unless you're in a special scheme or have some bonuses it could be 4.2k odd.

You are really outdated. They have already merged the 2 schemes together. New Diploma holders come in at mx14 since few years back.
Once all the existing MSO folks who did not convert to MX scheme has retired/left, the MSO scheme will be gone.
