Obviously we want to leave B4. That’s obviously why we’re here. But just trying to find a way into international firms (the proper ones, iykyk)

It's almost certain WP will raise salaries cos their managing partner has come out to make a public statement about it.

We will see about the other two.

is this the same troll that keeps on trolling the doctors' salary thread claiming that coders make more than doctors doing next to nothing?

this dude is bitter about being rejected from med school. didn't know he was also bitter about being rejected from law school.

I won't reveal too much, but it's a lot less than you think. A typical fresh out of law school DPP makes just over 4k (a little bit more for males due to NS). The pay isn't fantastic but you don't lose out much at the start because of bonuses. There isn't much additional salary allowance for degree class like you'd see in other government agencies (i.e. earning 200-300 more because you're first or 2nd upper etc), unless you are a JLC and on the AR track.

When you start hitting the 3-6 PQE range you'll find that the pay gap between DPPs and Private Practice gets exceedingly wider. If you're already in private practice, just estimate that you'll be earning at least around 20-30% less than midsize/big4 firms (depending on which PQE you enter).

Do you have a link to that public statement, or do you mean the MP verbally/internally told staff that he would be raising salaries?

This is the business times article I think. Managing partner was quoted saying something like monitoring the situation and will keep up with the market.
