Which school so we can better advise?

2.1 or 2.2? Corp or liti

Small firm can jump either mid or Big 4 depending on vacancy. The latter is harder given current market. But if you wait it out people will get tired and leave the Big 4.

Best bet now is mid sized.

Is it difficult to make the switch from big 4 general liti to intl firms?

For international firms you must either be very good at SG law or UK law. Or both. But ideally if your clients are UK / US law a SG law degree is of limited use imo.

No. Not really. But do you do arbitration? If you do, it is easier.

Are you sure? It means you haven’t been in an international firm.
Technicals are not as important as being able to get the deal done.

Oh sorry my bad. Yeah I guess it’s different from depts to depts.
In transactional banking, law wasn’t as important.

You kidding? It's basically impossible outside of international arbi, with the exception of maybe CC.

I can't really say which department/firm I'm in but let's just say there's an emphasis on English law. This means yes theoretically you could be great at Singapore law but you'd still have to look at English law.
