1-5 man show firm to big 4
Overseas grad with 2:2 (not delisted) and with small firm now. Based on what’s written in this forum, looks like I’ll never ever be able to move up to big 4/international firms? Either everyone on this forum is so ignorant of the reality oR I am. I think I’m not, since I’ve since I’ve since LinkedIn profiles of people make such transition after 1-2 years.

Hmm, I would suggest you hop to a Mid Sized first. Small firm to B4 is really hard unless you're in one of boutiques set up from B4.
What practice area?
Generally the hop goes like this -
Small - Mid - FLA SG side - B4 - FLA international side

Is small firm determined by number of lawyers/associates purely or by quality of Caseload.
No this is not a botique set up by anyone from big 4 although one of the Lawyers prev worked at big 4. And the other from a mid. Also I’m doing my rlt here, not qualified yet.

I’m assuming you need to have contacts within the party your interested in joining. Given there’s only one useful party in Sg ( pap) some MP. Not impossible to reach out- they literally do house to house visits. Meet the people events etc.
Like express ur interest to someone of that nature and then they can guide you better?
