going from production EMS co to Luxury ?

I m gg for an interview at a luxe co, this co is recession proof, but I have the impression they dun pay their folks well. M I wrong?
My friend works in its subsidiary co a few yrs back, lots of external training and biz class travel. But his salary is peanuts, and weird thing, no AWS.

I am now at an EMS co where there are many opportunities / positions in my field of work, so many chance to grow, move around.

The post I am interviewing for is mgr, but its only a 2 man dept. Sound dead end career to me.

In my current post, i missed out on 1st yr increments, and a promotion dont look to be coming, based on my scope.
