Nothing wrong with having a goal and strive to be the best of the rest, but the previous post had provided a good point on where an average person may be at and for some to be not to be too delusional. You can say that is what average people thinking are, but if alot more people have the same thinking of working hard to be the best of the rest, competition increases and eventually you are average in the end without even knowing, lol.

If you don't have a dream and you can perfectly predict your life for the next 30 years, what's the point of living? So boring like that.

Are they worth joining? Depends on what you are joining as. People here are neglecting what you do is also important. You could join mnc as an auditor, or as corporate development and strategy, the prospects and pay are vastly different.

Sorry but DBS is not an MNC, it is more accurately described as a regional bank, and so are OCBC and UOB. All 3 banks got extensive presence in SEA, HK and China but negligible presence in the rest of the world. Few in the US, Europe, India, Japan or Korea have heard of these names.

In order not to be average, drastic changes have to be made to life and your environment. But not many people have to discipline to follow through. This is the reason why not many people are successful.
It is way too easy for people to fall into being average.

I don’t like dbs either, but isn’t operating in multiple countries the definition of multi national company? Why not just use the term global

Just want to ask.
I am in a government linked company now and tried my luck on a mnc. I was shortlisted for an interview with a mnc for a process engineer position but i actually BS my way through from my resume to the interview. I did some google on the process but i think too many blind spots not answered. Then the interviewer asked me this question which i stunn like vege: "why do you think we should hire you?" I told the interviewer (hes an FT) "because i got a degree". I saw him laugh a little and look at his colleague.
Did i flung my interview? If the other interviewee only has diploma, do you think they will hire me instead since they stated min degree. I really want to join mnc, how you all joined mnc? Any tips welcomed.

If OP can't automatically be above a diploma holder might as well not take a degree. Experience and skill sets are useless compared to a degree.
