Rio tinto
Anyone working in Rio Tinto can share what is it like working for them? Is the environment very political? Got an offer but not sure if I should give up my current job to take up this offer.

What team and which role are you joining? Office is nice and colleagues quite friendly. More international than gahmen for sure. Politics can't be your only question right? Did they at least give you 30% pay rise when you jump across? They pay well.

Treasury. Yes the jump is substantial and very attractive. But if the environment is very political and have to fight many wars everyday maybe it' not worth the money to risk mental health haha.

I just got an offer for the Rio Tinto graduate programme (Compliance department). Can anyone share their thoughts or experience on this?

My uni friend was from their grad program. From what I hear the place is ok and quite fast pace. Progression wise it is slower than most mgt trainee / grad programs for other more prestigious mnc, but still better than unstructured.
He is now drawing ~7.5k after 4 years there, lower than some of our other friends who join similar prog.

Will this expectation be extended for one who joins the procurement/supply chain grad program in singapore?
