Not true.
For my department a lot of ppl stuck at SM for dunno how long. Unless the above u move up or quit, or u win some big client groups, u just gonna be stuck as SM . This could be 8years, 11 years, 14 years, who knows?
Meanwhile u gonna see your friend quit as M easily making 15 k and above in commercial with 10YOE. Dont drink the big 4 progression kool aid

The difference is that they are paid 10k and up and seniors only Low 4K. If they switch the pay around I don’t mind because at least I am doing stuff that is within my pay grade.

Agree 100%. Lol see the reply by some SM above know that they are the cui ones : if I have suffered al these abuse as associate my juniors must go thru it too
And shake leg get their 12 k with 0 fck given to the juniors
