I tried this job for several years liao but still can't get it.

PA jobs are hard to get because it is the last option for the educated unemployed. The jobs require no skillset & knowledge and just basic admin and communicate that anyone who got study is eligible to apply.

I remember last year when I went down the interviewer was quite xia lan and ask me why they should select me when they have another 120 applicants for the job. I straight away know at the point is no hope liao.

Wah the interviewer sounded rather insensitive. I applied with PA several positions and went to a few of their interviews but still can't get in. Really sian. I have a friend inside whom I think has about the same skills as me yet she can get in.

Its like that one, maciam lottery ticket. This kind of job require not much knowledge, so really very hard for them to differentiate. The interview is reduce to just random talk c0ck session and every candidate just try to portray themselves as down to earth and can communicate with the masses. Just heng sway whether you will get it or not.

Ya u are right. Sometimes it boils down to luck. Perhaps those who are serving the grassroots might have a higher chance.

Same tryin for 2 years at least. Trying one last time with a referal. If all fail, then probably will give up

U got apply through referral the past 2 years? It would be rather unfair to the general public if those who has a referral has an upper hand. Those without referral might be equally good or even better.

I did, but I didnt get any calls. so i guess it does not matter whether you have a referral not. its just heng suay like what someone mention above.

if that's the case, most probably is the asking salary differentiation. your friend might ask a lower pay than what you ask.
