- Starting pay not exactly high, but promotions/progression/company change (while remaining an engineer) pushes the average monthly salary up a lot every single year?
- Not exactly easy to be employed by a major O&G/Aviation organisation, but if you are, the annual package seems a lot better than the median pay of an average Singaporean?
Again, I'm not an engineer, so not sure if these trends are true. Seeking advice on behalf of my juniors.
Besides salary, please also enlighten us on your working hours/work-life balance Thanks

is your job LAE or normal aerospace engineering services?
are you able to clock OT and get paid for it.
268k ~~ your basic about 15k/mth + 1mth AWS + 5mth bonus ---WoW (only with 7yr exp)
I dun think any private MNC pay that much for 7 yr exp.
Had friend from SIA/SIAEC/ST aero with 7 years exp also dun get that much.
(Even scholar from fast track with good performance maybe getting 7.3k+/- basic.
Likely you are a scholar from DSTA under Air System

Well private MNC earns more than known companies such SIAEC/ST. Me myself is earning a reasonable amount but definitely more than my peers working as a LAE in sg. They are underpaid due to many appointment holders in the company. In SIAEC itself, lae are mostly the last person to oversee the whole operation. In terms of workscope, your certifying technician can sign off an aircraft for you and supervisor to take charge of your technicians discipline issue. In private sector, I have to manage my technicians on my own and plan all their work scope. At the same time, I have to carry out my own tasks. So yeah, this is why we are paid more than SIAEC and ST Aero. Fun fact st 3mth bonus, since 0.83 bonus this year.
