Agree on the automation part..but...what about jobssss .

And the thing is this, because it's so manual and inefficient, there are so many hoops to jump through, it's easy to make mistake. And when you make that mistake, it's opportunity for them to hammer you jia lat jia lat, and say you are incompetent .... (wt*).

Agree. And maybe after being repeatedly told how lacking you are, you are already feeling so down, questioning yourself, cannot concentrate, make more mistake, whose fault is it? Of course it’s yours. They themselves make mistake, small matter.

How to transform like that? I wonder if their objective is to build up and transform MAS or tear it down? (Or maybe transform it to something unrecognizable)

I don’t think it can fairly be said that there’s zero transformation? The point is about how it’s being done.

Got a lot of bis transformation lah.. among the bis deps.. but digital transformation in bis deps except those more savvy ones are almost non existent lah..

Transformation also got diff types.. so depends on which u r referring to

I wonder how to bring about the much needed digital transformation then? I see some depts recruiting for their own tech roles

You said it yourself didnt you? What is TG role if they are not doing much then? Why not just decentralize them and give headcounts to other depts? This is the qtn that had been posted every omc and townhalls, but no one wants to answer it.

But for consistency across depts shouldn’t there be some central body overseeing common databases and systems used within the whole org, no? If not who will coordinate the decentralised units to prevent communication silos developing

This idea has been around and tried for sometime already, but guess why it hasn't come to fruition?

I am not from TG or management, but as an onlooker I think it might be worse if there is no central coordinating body. Then there is no one to direct arrows to for those tech projects that fall in no man’s land, ie. not under purview of single dept.
