Your base starts with the degree outcome and uni. Then add about 200 for NS, and maybe 200 for each year of relevant experience.

For example: NUS FCH Male 5 relevant exp will be 4k + 200 + 5x200 = 5200 thereabout. Average package is 15.5, so you are looking at 3.5 mths of bonuses minimallly.

EeAch degree class step lower -200. Base for SIM is around 2.8k.
Male, 2:2, NUS, started work at yr 2011.

So that works out to 5.2K.. can negotiate?

how abt job grade? MX11?

I don't think his formula is correct. Even fresh grads NUS/NTU FCH are getting <4k these days starting. 3.6-3.8k only

I think its higher these days but not sure whats the benchmark. I am a 2:1 fresh grad with NS and was offered a couple of statboard over 3.8-4K in a non specialised role recently.

My classmate with pending 1st received offered from statboards and ministries from 3.9k - 4.5k non specialised roles.

I think in the end it just depends on the ministry maybe.

Actually the best is those sign on in uniform service classmates, minimally 4.6k - 5k.

I am currently an MX13i. diploma holder.

my current salary is $3.3k

i check pac gov and i saw my salary range is from $2.4k to $4.2k.

does this means that my salary ceiling is $4.2k? means if i am not promoted, once my salary hit $4.2k, i will forever earn $4.2k till i retire at age of 62?

The short answer is yes. But I doubt that you will be stuck till 62. Once anyone hit their ceiling, they are unlikely to stay beyond 2 years.. unless waiting for retirement..
And unlikely for a dip holder to have cep at 13i only
