Compare civil service salary

Hello, i am a fresh grad with 1st class honours, how much should my start pay be if offered a job in MOM?

Looks like a MX12 position. Probably up to around 5K, assuming the ceiling is 6K.

My guess is that they will offer u around 4K. Because i have a friend who is in the private sector with a local uni degree. He was offered 4K+ though he was getting 8K+ outside. 'Was' because the deal did not go through. haha.

How much are u getting at the moment and what are u currently working as?

Also for civil servant position, will we need to show HR our last drawn pay? If yes will they low ball if the position actually pays much more as compare then my last drawn .

Reality is fresh grad $3.2-$3.5k.. dont hope so much.. u have to work ur way up..

Thank you for advising. May I know how the salary progression would be over the next 5 years? Given around 10% annual increment, one should be able to reach at least $5.2k after 5 years of experience?

Do officers on 1 year contract get annual increment as well? Or does the increment come when contract is extended?

15 years exp should be looking at senior asst director and above.

Nus fch this year, offer nearly 4k.

No NS - 3.5k
NS - 3.7k

Reaching 6k in 5 years is very unlikely. More like around 5k.
