What's the approximate pay you have been offered? This will help us to advise on the mx grade

Took up an offer from a ministry and will be starting work soon. More of an ops role, especially with the ongoing covid situation. I am curious to know what to most likely expect for the first few months; would like to hear experiences. Also curious if there's "honeymoon period" (aka basically newcomers will be pardoned for mistakes which I've heard some ppl use and abuse). Tips on how to integrate into the civil sector are welcome too. TIA!

Pardoned for mistakes? Don't forget there is a probation period to clear.

May I ask what is CS? :O I’m FCH from humanities as well, struggling to secure a job in comms. Was wondering what your CS meant!

I don’t know about CPF, but my aunt from MOM and the welfare benefits there looks good.

CS in his/her context probably stands for civil service, which refers to our Ministries (e.g., MND, MOF, MTI)
