Btw, if you r not Malaysian, you can only buy property above 1 mil rm since April last year except for Medini condos and I heard certain zone A condos, RnF Princess Cove I think, which is near future RTS. Those r still possible to buy above rm500k..

Ok thanks for pointing this out. Alternatively, I can just rent. I can rent out my flat in Spore for S$3.5k pm and rent a condo there for RM2k pm.

Hoping to retire soon by renting out my Sg properties. A terrace house which may be rented out for 6k hopefully (agent has 2 clients with that budget and will get back to me next week) and a 1 bedder condo unit rented out for 2.2k. Refinancing my loans, mortgage will be 3k to 4k, depending if if do prepayment, so have 4 to 5k net passive income which I can then retire in my JB semid with my family....I am 39 years old....
May I know why you choose to retire so early at age 39? I mean, you must have spent a lot of money and effort to be a GP but so fast retire already?

It is not difficult to retire in Singapore if your kids are grown up, working and living on their own. Here's how:

1. Rent out your HDB flat for S$3k or more pm. This assumes you have fully paid up your flat.
2. Rent a brand new 3 bedroom condo in JB for RM1k pm. There will be many empty condos and houses in JB due to the massive glut of properties there for many years.
3. Get passive income from your CPF Life (S$2,400 pm for a retired couple at 65).

Income pm = S$3k + S$2.4k = S$5.4k = RM14k (assuming S$1 = RM2.60)
Expenses pm
1. Rent RM1k
2. Food RM1k
3. Transport and petrol RM1k
4. Utilities and misc RM1k
Total expenses RM4k
Savings RM10k pm (can use savings to travel the world and enjoy if you wish)

I want to retire or semiretire to spend more time with my kids and do missionary work hopefully...it may be temporary but it will be good to slow down or take a break for a while to prevent burnout which I had before...

Just a gentle reminder

THE SINGAPORE MOTOR SHOW will start this Thursday 15 Jan 2015 at Suntec

15 jan - 18 jan 2015

If you already bought your car, good for you because I expect COE prices to shoot up due to the high demand for new cars generated by the motor show

Cat A should go to $70k at least

Cat B should go to $80k at least

In 2016, price should go higher

We have too many cars on the road, we need to reduce the number of cars drastically or else we have traffic jams everywhere
