Old woman age 65
Office cleaner
Husband having Parkinson
Children earning paltry income just enough to keep their own family going
Force to work for mere $1000 a month
Don't know when to stop work
See no future in life

Indeed, there are people in this forum who are jealous of the achievement of others. They try to console themselves, for their own under achievement, by saying those successful ones as liars, etc.

Let me share you my story.

I was a top gangster in the drug industry. I worked hard, got promoted and made good money. Instead of spending my big bonuses on expensive cars, guns and women, I invested my hard earned money in marijuana plantations and cocaine labs. In 2009, when others were scared like hell, I invested and my returns were many folds.

Today, at a young age of 45, I am retired from my career. My multi million global drug production provides me with passive income to feed my family comfortably. I now spend my time managing my gang and doing charity work to help the poor and needy. I keep fit by spending my time in my condo gym and pool.

There are people in this forum who are jealous about me retiring young, as they themselves are still struggling working in their fifties.

Same message format used in various posts...LOL

Today, at a young age of 45, I am retired from my career. My multi million portfolio provides me with passive income to feed my family comfortably. I now spend my time managing my portfolio and doing charity work to help the poor and needy. I keep fit by spending my time in my condo gym and pool.

Sad to see this popular forum being hijacked by some childish person or persons. Can we go back to sharing so that others can benefit? Ok, let me start.

48, 49, couple (one grad and one diploma), total income $140k pa. Sold our hdb flat in 2003 and upgraded to a condo, which we bought for $500k. Did not take much loan as we use the sales proceeds from our hdb flat sale plus our savings to pay for condo. Now the condo is fully paid up. Now we are starting to grow our CPF accounts slowly.

Our condo is now worth $900k and our combined net worth (condo, cash and CPF accounts) is estimated to be $1.4m.

Can the financial gurus here (only those with experience in the finance sector, please) advise how we can grow our wealth and prepare for retirement? Honestly, we don't know much about investments (we work in a technical line). We are lucky that we upgraded to a condo at the right time, not because we know how to predict property prices but just that the condo price was attractive at that time and we have the means to upgrade after selling our flat. Thank you.

No thanks. High safety risk.
I rather retire in small MM condo in Woodlands than in a JB bungalow.
I can sleep peacefully at night in Woodlands.
