And those who assume that 100% of forumers visiting salary.sg are 'typical', are naive.
Obviously, a forum such as salary.sg attracts those persons who are Concerned about their wealth, and want to grow it, want to compare it, want to learn. And some of us have already made it, to have a net worth beyond typical - some of us have already become good at accumulating and growing our wealth in our thirties.
Unfortunately this forum also attracts those who cannot believe that there exist people Better at growing wealth than the typical. I say, don't live with your head in the sand, nor brand all those who have a high net worth as liars.
Consider the possibility that they were telling the truth. Then how did they do it? Are u interested to be one of them? Then there is lots of learning and planning and saving to do. And waiting. And when the right time comes, to execute the plan.
And if u are still convinced they are lying, just read with some merriment and have an entertaining evening Why bother ?
As for me, I am amused at the accusation. Hahaha! Truth or lies, up for the reader to decide. I will carry on thinking about how to grow my wealth.

Yo, hah I recognize your style. Are you also the one who likes to xuan the condo / charity case too?
I won't say he is lying because frankly his achievement though not bad is really just about average for people who did this property investment approach between 2005 - 2011. I got a pal who anyhow humtum one property in 2010 financed mostly by himself/wife and part parent support. Heng Heng En Bloc also manage to garner 1.5 Million profit on an investment of 400K.
I do think people should be upfront on how much money came from parents and how much from themselves etc, especially when writing these kinda stories. Least others know realistically what to expect when they compare too. Just like the Sunday times lady, I reckon she downplay her parents involvement alot in the article. Likely worried about their "image".

Indeed, there are people in this forum who are jealous of the achievement of others. They try to console themselves, for their own under achievement, by saying those successful ones as liars, etc.
Let me share you my story.
I was a top executive in the finance industry. I worked hard, got promoted and made good money. Instead of spending my big bonuses on expensive cars, holidays and women, I invested my hard earned money in stocks and properties. In 2009, when others were scared like hell, I invested and my returns were many folds.
Today, at a young age of 45, I am retired from my career. My multi million portfolio provides me with passive income to feed my family comfortably. I now spend my time managing my portfolio and doing charity work to help the poor and needy. I keep fit by spending my time in my condo gym and pool.
There are people in this forum who are jealous about me retiring young, as they themselves are still struggling working in their fifties.
