Close friend in HR. Also, the people who posted that there were people getting offered are trolls. No offers have yet to be made to external candidates at all. The head of recruiting has changed and the campus team is in a bit of a mess, which is why there's been a big delay.
You just have to do a linkedin search on the MA candidates from 2015 till now and look at the candidate backgrounds. Also, look at the new senior management profiles, where they went to university, which foreign banks they used to work at, and the countries they used to work in.

DBS has poached a lot of their HR and management staff from Citi and foreign banks. Hence, the top-down hiring expectations are being pegged at a different level and no longer the same as OCBC/ UOB.

Basically if you don't have the background / profile they are looking for, slim chance of getting through. Priority now is to elevate DBS brand to compete with foreign bank recruitment.. so prestige is preferred.
Hence, the comment from HR telling management that this batch is not impressive enough.
