i rmb after closing date for the job position, i was contacted 1 week after for the first round interview. then they told us that those who are selected will be contacted within 2 weeks for the second round formal interview. i was fortunate to be contacted within 1 week for my second interview, although it was scheduled to 1.5 months later.
the thing is after the second interview, i have not gotten any news and its has been almost 3 weeks already. so im not too optimistic as the waiting time this time is much longer...

so how long you have been stuck in this process? from applying till offering the job, possible to reach 3 to 5 months? If I am the one who applied and unemployed, in this situation, I would feel depressed, and my savings would have depleted fast. Slow hiring process I feel.

Most ministries will NOT send you for private or DL degrees. They don't recognise it in the first place. If you want, they will probably send you to unisim. Some of my colleagues were sent to take their degrees part-time from unisim, its the only place that is recognised. Unless you are in the engineering fields, then NTU/ NUS has part-time engineering degree. Masters have more options of course, ranging from NUS/ NTU/ SMU. but at the degree level, you can only expect unisim, which is not bad, but the duration is 3-4 years.

Hi liverpoolfan, hmm I guess I'm in sort of a similar situation as you. I've got a call from SPS regarding a job offer, and they said I had to go for a medical checkup..
After a week from receiving the job offer, haven't receive written/email job offer confirmation, did they send you one already?
Maybe you could try contacting the Prisons recruitment hotline regarding your medical examination status?
My status is still stated as "shortlisted" too..
