Your observation is valid. The reason is simple, we have an aging population and the size of the civil/public service is scaled according to local residential population. Hence, a rationalisation exercise is ongoing.

1 Dec, but because is a weekend
therefore reality last day is 29 Nov
nope, the post was only meant as temp as mandated by the dept
and also cannot encash leave
so i need to find time and space to clear 9.5 days of leave before end of temp service
pretty sick and tired of temp and temp
not something that i want
i also very much wan a full time ticket

Most of the fat that had to be trimmed, has been trimmed. It's already 4 years from Covid-start, and more than 2 years from Covid-end.
But I guess if you view it from that angle, then yes from post-Covid till now and moving forward, job openings should be leaner than before.
