I am on movement policy in Oct 2021 from SB to Ministry

Things need to consider:
1) Permanent establishment revert back to contract (n
1 or 2 years depending on the new posting)

2) I got 4.5% increment only bur this is being shared wth yr current SB/Min & new SB/Min LOL

3) Some SB/Min depemding on yr new boss/org either they hold yr PB for 1 year or if they are very nice ppl they will paid out to you w/o waiting for 1 yr mark. I’’m the lucky one new Min did not hold my PB for 1 year )

4) Current SB/Min has the upper hand to hold you up to 3 months then transfer to new SB/Min. I am unlucky one, they hold me till 3 montbs

5) Number of years service , Long service award & leave scheme remain the same but need to clear all accumulated leave before the transfer to new SB/Min

6) My opinion is better join as new hirer can request for higher salary since start of service both on contract (regardless new hirer or on movement policy) unless new SB/Min can offer you Perm establlishment.

Hope the info helps you in some way to consider carefully!
Thank you so much for sharing! The hiring HR just mentioned that I may be eligible for the movement policy. They are still processing my application, so I have not accepted any offers yet.

What does it mean that the current company can hold you for 3 months? Is it like a notice period?
With this policy, does that mean I won't be able to quit my current company to take a break before joining the new company?

Thank you so much for sharing! Currently, my application is still processing so I have not accepted any offers. I will try to ask if I could opt out of using the movement policy to apply.

Yeah, if the salary is going to be lower, I would rather not go through with the policy.

Would the hiring HR inform you first to get you to accept the offer before working with my current HR to determine a date of transfer? or there's no offer letter given at all that's why unable to negotiate?

Hi

There is a provisional/verbal/email offer for you to accept first. Then from there, they will liaise base on your acceptance to talk to your current HR. Current HR will talk to your boss on your req for movement policy + date of release, (1/2/3 months maximum) to hold you.

There is an offer letter for you to sign + reporting date. Usually lateral transfer there’s no nego on pay as we all know all remain same A to A, B to B LOL…

I have been following this thread for some time and want to say amongst the public agencies, CAAS' package is really one of the better ones. they have components that other agencies dont have.

I see, right now my application is still being reviewed, after I get the offer, I assume I still can decide between the movement policy or the direct hire option? Then my current HR will be informed to arrange the movement right?

Yeah, the same pay surprised me, so I doubt I will go with that route

are they gonna consider u as continued duration of service (since u r moving from the SB to the parent ministry itself) or deem as start from scratch with break of service technically?

Default non-MOPO

If I did not MOPO, would my new ministry take into consideration my CEP/LP in my current stat board?
