sounds like HR of Stat Board B is not serious about the offer. I suggest you just whack a conservative date (1 to 1.5 months later) as the commencement date.
Last Day date can always be hammered out. By hook or crook you will still leave by that date anyway.

Freelance and/or affiliate marketing
Hi guys, im a software engineer in one of the stats board and am thinking of doing some freelance or affiliate marketing during my free time. Is it allowed? It wont affect my daily work but is it considered moonlighting or do I just have to declare to HR?

By right cannot. By left can do what you want but don't get caught.

Hi, I am currently employed at an entry level grade with stat board A and have received verbal job offers from a ministry and another stat board B.
Both the ministry and stat board B tried to offer me movement policy which I am not so keen as I have 10years of relevant work experience with a local uni degree. Moreover, movement policy would mean an entry level i.e. mx12 for me despite my 10years exp with some relevant industry related certifications beside my basic bachelor degree. It would also take one or two increments for me to hit my current salary ceiling cap.
Is there any way I can get them to consider me as a fresh hire with possibility of appointment at a higher grade e.g. mx11? Few months ago, I had tried to negotiate with another stat board when they offered me the job position under movement policy. After I had declined to move under movement policy with that particular stat board, their HR did not give me any follow up response on the job application outcome.
Hence, would appreciate useful advices here as I would like to move out of my current stat board to a new and possibly better work environment. Thank you.

Need Advice
Hi all need some advice, I went through a total 3 interviews and finally got an verbal offer with email of the salary package and the overall benefits of the stat board that I applied for (4months from application to verbal offer). But have yet to sign the official contract and medical checkup. HR informed me that the the MD is busy and have not endorsed my official contract (been 2weeks). Once endorsed, will informed me to go down for signing and book medical appointment.
Should I hand in my resignation letter before the signing & medical? Any chance that at the very last minute they don’t want me? I am fit and do not have any medical or criminal record.

Job offer vs holiday plan
When do U need to mention about your pre-scheduled holiday plans?
During interview stage or job offer stage?
Usually when is most appropriate time for to take leave after you start your new job?

Usually Will be better if you resign after you have formally sign off the job offer.
