I just did. The hr which I rejected wanted to hang up so fast the moment I said I would like to decline the initally accepted verbal offer.

1. Dunno if they think your experience relevant or not.
2. Pes status don't matter, you didn't sign up for uniform regular. The other person was asking if u served.
3. Previous salary can influence your pay

I doubt you can get above 4k. This formula below assumes they really like your profile.
1 Yr experience $200 x 4 =800
Pass degree local uni $2800
NS $200

This thread is on timeline.... Read up the other threads on salary esp DXO. I'm just feeling your anxiety so I'm trying my best to alleviate your anxiety, and the polite fella about SLA, LTA.
What about 1 year work experience, 2nd Lower, Overseas Uni (but degree done in SG), NS done~ Will it be anywhere close to 3.8/3.9k?

after reading " 2nd Lower, Overseas Uni (but degree done in SG)" then nope, definitely not. if you are offered $3.2 i think very good already.

Even local (NUS, NTU, SMU, STUD) less SIT SIM also getting lesser than 3.5k for 2nd Lower. I think yours would be around 3-3.2k. Work experience is up to HR to decide if it is relevant to the job.

Considering how fast the HR wanted to hang up, I don't think they cared at that point of time. But the HR was very polite and patient throughout the process.
I accepted the verbal offer first because I was waiting for another offer. When the other verbal offer came in, I could not delay the first offer any longer so I just declined it.

Yah.. This is a timeline thread ... Dxo plenty of salary calculation there. Whole government pretty much calculate the same way for candidates under 3 years of exp. Besides... Its just a topic to destress... Can you scream at HR saying salary.sg expert estimate 4k why you tell me 3.4k....because your field over saturated, other people doing comp science in demand what to do...

dxo thread is so hot...everybody only cares about salary... Which is understandable... If you studied 4 years in engineering, just because someone tells u engineer works 12 hours, are you gonna work as insurance agent instead? Possible but... not really mainstream logic. As long the salary pays the bills/loans and allows some enjoyment... Gain the experience and do whatever required.

Sounds like Sim Uol. Not many partner uni offers honours. 3k is a good estimate for 2:2. Don't forget it ranks even lower than SUTD n SIT which are niche universities (not high ranked) in the first place.

Skim thru the final 10 pages of DXO thread, the past 2 months there's been intense hiring... Plenty of helpful estimates.

Anyone managed to up their mx grade when they switch? I understand this is not the transfer process meaning the candidate has to relinquish their years of service. I'm willing to do that for a jump of grade and would like to know if this is even possible?

I didn't because it's not like they would give me more time (I believe they have their own schedule to adhere to) and they probably would have guessed they are not my first choice.
